Walk through in my " Times of Yore ".

Wow. It has been long since I decided to checkout my old blogger account. And I came across my " Visit Pakistan " blog. Actually, I did not instantly start crying about about this action that I had undertaken 2 years ago, because this blog was always present somewhere in my subconscious and I knew I will revisit it one day. And I did and I am smiling now. Im reading the few previous entries and I am thinking " I have not done anything good since this blog! " [[Laugh out Loud]]. So yes, it was a new fun creative way to develop interest for all those looking for an adventure or just having a yearning lust for natural destinations. Unfortunately, it did not last long because I didnt let it last long. Anyways, time for a small update.

I am no longer in my country. Just in September, I moved to Canada for post graduation studies and I am staring at this blog but I do not know how to restart it as I have changed so much since 2008. Actually, I am constantly changing these days. And back then, what I had started was really likable and unique. And I do plan to continue it in that similar fashion, but I am having second thoughts about how I should take it on from here IF i still decide to continue with it.

I had paused for a few seconds after the finishing off the second paragraph, to be honest because I have made my decision. I am just going to share " stuff " from the internet. Really interesting stuff. But also maintain my personal creativity element which had been absent for more than 2 years. However, updating would be rather less frequent and slow because I am more interested in my other 2 blogs. If you have not come across my other blogs, please check them out. Though one of them is completely plain empty. Have to get started on that one too as I have a lots of new ideas and " stories " to tell for that one.

Thanks a lot. Looking forward for future support and discussions.

Skardu-Part 2

Well, the blog and its blogger are back!

Lets get started right away.

You are in the jeep. You were just given a basic introduction of Skardu and you are willing to learn more, breathless to see the beautiful sights that you have only heard about, to witness the mountains you're seeing from miles away while sitting in your bus, desperate to get out, to touch the ground, to touch the soft snow, to already feeling THE SKARDU alive...

Well, youre about to do just about all that, though not in reality,duh,virtually/in imagination of you own kind.

Well, lets get started.

BUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM-thats our jeep moving on the rocky roads of Skardu,be careful, there a lot of turn and twists along the way, which endures the thrill and excitement of the adventure. Its completly safe though,LOL. Oh, and by the way,we have just crossed the thrilling bridge.

And now on the clear road.Muahahah.That was fun wasnt it?

Oh and by the way FWO have been working really hard on proper maintainence of the roads so theyre fine to drive on.

And now towards the tourists spots and destinations of Skardu town, the capital of the district/sub division of FANA, SKARDU.

But first, a bit of insight on the weather of Skardu:-

From Wikipedia:-

The climate of Skardu during the summer is moderated by its mountain setting and the intense heat of lowland Pakistan does not reach here. The mountains also block out the summer monsoon and summer rainfall is thus quite low. However, these mountains result in very severe winter weather. During the April to October tourist season, temperatures vary between a maximum of 27°C and a minimum (in October) 8°C. However, temperatures can drop to below -10°C in the December-to-January midwinter period.

And now the attractions.Lets head off for the Buddhist Rock, which is the only rock with Buddhist carvings on a tall rock with a vertical, beige-colored northern face. Carved here is a lovely image of a meditating Maitreya Buddha. It is located along Satpara road.

Speaking of which, we now have to drive towards Satpara lake!

Its a very beautiful lake situated at quite some height. The water is just so clean here that you can clearly see wats beneath it. It is also famous for its rare trout fish.

Now thats beauty...

In the next post,SKARDU PT#3.Well be touring:-

*Skardu Fort.

*Mindoq Khar(Palace)

*Shangrilla Lak

*Deosai

Only in the next post.
